Investing and the Art of Patience

One irrefutable attribute of a successful investor is patience. On page one of our Q2 Perspective Newsletter, Investing and the Art of Patience addresses the conflict between the world around us that feeds our need for immediacy and instant gratification, and the discipline and self-control that building wealth requires.

Successful investment outcomes usually involve delayed gratification and patience. Periods of short-term volatility can encourage investors to sell too soon, as emotions can often rule over clear thinking.

A successful investor needs to look at the horizon, not the next wave, in order to exercise patience in achieving long-term goals. We need to remember this during times like Autumn 2018.

Very best regards,
