How B-20 Impacts the Housing Market

The housing market is of interest to everyone. In Canada, the market is slowing down generally but particularly in Vancouver and Toronto. This is happening by design as regulators have imposed B-20 which requires borrowers to pass a "stress test" before qualifying for a mortgage. We share a video featuring our favourite CIBC Economist Benjamin Tal who provides his perspective that perhaps B-20 is "too much" and needs to be revisited.
