More and more we are noticing a growing demand for live music at events, shifting things from the norm. The addition of live music to a DJ adds another dimension to any event. Live music creates an element of realism and feel that a DJ alone can not duplicate. At we have a growing roster of live acts that we are constantly working with to create the ultimate experience in live shows. We were proud to have introduced the concept of incorporating live band with DJs in the Canadian events scene over two years ago. Our roster has grown to be diverse in musical range, but the same core concepts of excellence still apply. Make sure to inquire about live music for your next event!

Wayne Tennant – Male Vocalist For the past ten years, Wayne Tennant has been amazing Toronto audiences with his soulful sound as one of Canada’s most talented male vocalists. He is the lead vocalist for the very successful group ‘God Made Me Funky’ who are about to release their first original album. ‘God Made Me Funky’ and will be performing with The Bare Naked Ladies and the
Tragically Hip at the Air Canada Center at an upcoming show. Whether Wayne’s doing his thing during dinner or to heat up the dance floor, he’s an amazing addition to any affair. God Made Me Funky has just released their first full length CD. Available for purchase at your local music retailer!

Bootysmackers – Disco Band If you’re looking for a way to bring back the golden age of disco, look no further than ’s very own BOOTYSMACKERs. This five piece disco band consists of vocals with drums, keys, guitar, bass, and percussion. Not only can they play almost any disco classic you can remember, but they also dress the part with vintage disco outfits that change throughout the night. On their own or in addition to a MC, BOOTYSMACKER is a great addition to any event.

Sole Power House Band – All Musical Styles

The House Band is a three piece band in the ‘all-purpose’ category. Their wide repertoire consists of Rock, Blues, Soul, Disco, Pop and Funk. The lead singer is also the drummer which adds to their visual element and versatility. Whatever musical style you’re looking for, the House Band plays it, and rocks it.

James Brown Band Concert
On Sunday Nov. 28th 2004, teamed up with J&P Events, to launch JAP Productions. The event featured the legendary James Brown Band live in concert at The Orbit Room. The Evening was a great success as Toronto’s very own Selena 7tysix began the evening with a soulful set, pleasing the crowd and setting a name for her self as an up and comer to look out for. Then as the sold-out crowd was ready to ‘feel the funk’ the 13-piece James Brown Band took the stage and delivered a riveting two and a half hour performance. We were honoured to see special appearances made by some of Toronto’s best known talent like Saukrates, Wade O brown, Jacksoul, and more. The crowd also witnessed a once in a lifetime set when members of the ALICIA KEYS band sat in and played.
The world’s most famous funk band did not disappoint, doing well known songs such as ‘Sex Machine’ and ‘Soul Power’ (of course!), ‘Jungle Boogie’ and even some original tracks. Anyone lucky enough to have been at the Orbit Room on this historic night will surely agree that this was a show they will never forget!
